The Miserable Mill

The book I read was The Miserable Mill, and it was written by Lemony Snicket. It has 204 pages. Another book by Snicket is The Reptile Room. The genre for this book is realistic fiction. Another realistic fiction book is Wonder. Although this book is not as happy as Wonder you still may like it.

If you have ever moved houses, you will know what it is like to live in a new place. The Baudelaire children did know how it felt to live in a new house because their previous guardians have been killed by an evil man named Count Olaf. When the Baudelaire children came to their new home they found it was not as inviting as the previous ones. There was a sign made out of gum that read “Lucky Smells.” They new it was a lumber mill because there were huge logs in the court yard. They were sure that Count Olaf would find them there. He always did. Count Olaf usually is involved with a shape resembling an eye. There is a building in the same shape as the eye. Does Count Olaf have a secret laboratory in the building, or is it just a coincidence? Read The Miserable Mill by Lemony Snicket.
